New Melones
Kokanee fishing slowed down this week, mainly because of the moon phases. limits were hard to come by, but not impossible the Koks are holding in the deep river channel waters early in the morning. By mid morning moving close to rocky shore lines. There we're finding a mixed bag of 15 to 16 inch Kokanee, and 15 to 19 inch Rainbows. Best areas are between the spillway and the dam, Tuttle town ramp, and South Island. Fishing depths are 45 to 55 feet deep early, and as the day heats up 60 to 70 feet deep. Uncle Larry's copper blue pink, pink passion and small pink sockeye slammers. All behind Vance's nickel green ,and copper Pink dodgers. We are also using Vance's ball trolls for more fish attraction. Pro-Cure UV flash garlic plus and herring combo, carp spit, Fresh water shrimp, and hot pink anis is a good corn scent. Try soaking your corn for at least 3 days in advance. It will help to prolong the scent for those long strike less periods.

Bruce Hamby's boat will fish four (4) people comfortably. However, arrangements can be made with other guides to help with large parties.
Disabled?

No problem!
Bruce's boat is designed so two back seats can be removed, giving a person in a wheelchair plenty of room to move about and making it easy to land that trophy fish!
